My name is Lindsay. I spent the last 10 years welcoming fosters from all walks of life into my home. I learned the ins and out of rescue and settled into my passion for one on one help and decompression. Over the years I have welcomed some pretty amazing animals into my life. Learning from each one creating a system to create the best opportunity for success. I was able to get full time hours on hundreds of dogs. I fostered 28 litters and continue to foster today.

I have worked with countless professionals while gaining my experience. I am so grateful for this path I have taken. I love being out with the dogs and so excited to see where the Leashly Club leads me. Welcome, and thank you for being here!

This work is personal for me. I did not set out with a plan. I am a dedicated foster who has helped my fair share of dogs integrate into city life. Years of supporting fosters, owners and now clients through understanding and fulfillment. I am so grateful for the clients who trust me and my process the outcome is magical!

This is me and Nova.
Her family was preparing for their first baby, and she was fullll of energy. In her previous routine, she was reacting instead of responding, too much stimulation, not enough support, and it kept stacking on her.

I see that a lot.

We’re told more socialization, more daycare, more dogs = better dogs.
But that’s not true for all of them.

Nova didn’t need more. She needed different.

After being overwhelmed in large groups with low person-to-dog ratios, her trust was broken. She was dragging walkers down the sidewalk after switching to private walks. I took her on as my first client as a dog walker. So we rebuilt trust, slowly and intentionally. First her and I then her integrating into my crew.

With the right structure and the right dogs,safe, trained, and neutral. She learned how to move as a group. How to coexist instead of react.

Less chaos, more guidance.
Less pressure, more understanding.

I didn’t even realize I was “training” back then. I was just paying attention and advocating for what she could handle and building her up from there.

I could not lesson my ability to enable bad behaviours so I leaned in and stayed Leashly. Fulfilment walkers using the environment and trust to open up a dogs world.

Not every dog needs more.
Some dogs need the right kind of support.

And when you get that right?
You don’t just get a tired dog… you get a regulated one.

Body Language Breakdown

Leashly provides consent-based services because dogs need more than just the physical, they need safety, trust, and emotional support.

I’m so grateful for the amazing clients who understand this. Dog walkers and pet professionals should be fluent in canine body language and provide transparent, honest reports.

Whale eye, looking away, a stiff body, mouth, ears, or tail all these are signs a dog is communicating discomfort. It’s my job to listen.

Many people thought Cedar sticking his tongue out was cute, but that “lip lick” was his way of telling me everything I needed to know.

This is why I offer custom services: slowing down, connecting, and responding to the dog right in front of me.

Dogs go through phases with change and unpredictability. So listening to the dog in front of me and not setting them up to fail is the only way.

Some services fire the dogs that don’t fit into their over populated service or service style. We customs each service for your dog with motivations to create prosocial and novelty experiences.

There’s no real “club” for that middle space- the dogs (and people) who aren’t ready for the chaos of a park or structure training / sport club but still need somewhere to practice being around others.

That’s what this space is for.
Not to force play.
Not to prove anything.
But to help your dog learn what feels safe, predictable, and theirs.

We start with acquaintance: just existing near others.
We move toward invitation: gentle curiosity, maybe a tail wag or soft glance.
And we supervise space for supported play: knowing when to take breaks and when to step back.

This is about choice-based engagement, letting your dog decide what connection looks like today. Understanding your dogs baseline not obedience level.

Because regulation is socialization.

📢 Summer Camp Update & What’s Next at Leashly

Friends, this was a tough call but the Leashly Summer Camp will now be running in Summer 2026.

Between an unexpected acreage move and a personal injury, I’ve realized the best thing for me and the dogs is to postpone camp until I can give it 110% in our beautiful new space. Because it was an alone self led activity those who participated will be automatically accepted to our back to school plans. Some of the camp activities are moving over to the Fall Season! They are too fun to leave for a full year.

I’m so grateful for your understanding. Right now, I’m focused on learning new systems and routines with my dogs and my regular clients dogs, making sure both client dogs and my own feel comfortable, safe, and confident in the space. The next two weeks will be taken slowly and mindfully to create that foundation
