Trail Puzzle
I completed đ§ŠTrail Puzzle Supplies & Step 1!
For this exercise, I decided to try it this morning while it was raining since walking wasnât an option. This was something that Beezus really enjoyed and while she found it tough at first (she got distracted easily and was trying to destroy the obstacles haha), she did get it and had a lot of fun! I used boxes from my basement and set up down there, taking her old food bowl and one of our camping bowls along with her breakfast. After a bit of setting up and teaching her how to actually try to do it properly (and adjusting it so she understood), she had a lot of fun and it definitely tired her out when we couldnât go outside because of the rain. I donât have a video unfortunately (I forgot), but she definitely did enjoy it! Walks arenâtâŚ

Intro to their World: One Walk at a Time
I completed đIntro to their World: One Walk at a Time!
In this section, it talked about body language and noticing how your dog looks and acts in different situations. Beezus is usually great at showing what sheâs feeling through her body language and for someone whoâs been with her since she was a puppy, Iâm good at recognizing what the signs are.
Beezus loves relaxing and it is easy to tell when she is relaxed! She usually has her ears facing forward and not stiff or listening too intently (twitching or flicking around). Her left ear also relaxes and bends a bit, creating a cute look with one ear up and the other down. When sheâs super relaxed (or sleepy), she loves to cuddle and will often think sheâs a lap dog (the 55 pound dog is indeed not), sitting right on top of you and asking for pets.âŚ

Trail Puzzle
Lindsay and Jube did their day one of Trail Puzzle. This is an intro to the concept. See where your dog naturally moves. This is working together and having fun. - comment any questions.
Make sure to check your invite to the Summer Camp program which gives you day to day set your own pace guidance!
All you need is 2 tin bowls, an obstacle.
Lindsay used things from her garden.
Practice this at our upcoming picnic events.

đşď¸ Milestone Map: a Sneak Peak
The Milestone Map is your personal badge journey inside the Leashly program.
It isnât about ticking off tricks or training goals: itâs a gentle framework to help you see, shape, and celebrate emotional growth and trust between you and your pet.
At its heart, the Milestone Map is a tool for mindful exploration:
â Choose badges that fit where your pet is right now â not where you think they âshouldâ be
â Use the Milestone Map Compass questions to check in on emotional wellbeing, joy, and consent

Weâve maybe set our profile up? Maybe?? Please let us know whatâs missing!

Beezus, you nailed the Trail Puzzle challenge!
I LOVE how you adapted the activity indoors, itâs such a perfect example of what this challenge is all about: meeting dogs where theyâre at, especially when weather (or stress!) throws a curveball. đ
Your creativity with the boxes and bowls is next-level, and the way you supported her through the learning curve shows such deep understanding and care. đ
Iâm so proud of you both! Beezus is officially a Trail Puzzle Pioneer đ§Šđż and this post is pure encouragement for others looking for calming, enriching alternatives to walks.
Thanks for sharing: canât wait to see what badge you and Beezus tackle next! đĽžđŤ
Jube is working on hers! Iâm extending the summer camp so I can do my move then hit the ground running in August!
